Carroll’s Kitchen | Celebrating 5 Years!
Raleigh, NC – Carroll’s Kitchen is a non-profit social enterprise operating as an American fast-casual restaurant in Raleigh, North Carolina, opened its doors in 2016. Five years later, they still pride themselves on their selection of comfort food meals and their Restorative Employment Model, designed to assist women seeking employment and economic dignity while recovering from traumas like homelessness, addiction, incarceration, and other crisis.
Their team of hardworking women and volunteers are dedicated to not only making quality meals, but improving the quality of the community. One woman at a time, founders Vicky Ismail and Jim Freeze are committed to building a world of dignity and purpose for their employees and customers alike.
Of all the graduates of Carroll’s REM program…
- there is a 0% recidivism while working for Carroll’s Kitchen
- 50% made plans for continued education
- 90% moved on to full time employment.
